The Night Agent To End With Season 4 As Production Begins In Los Angeles

Netflix has confirmed that its hit spy thriller ‘The Night Agent’ will conclude with its upcoming fourth season, marking the end of Peter Sutherland’s journey.

Production on the final instalment is set to commence in Los Angeles, with Gabriel Basso reprising his role as Sutherland, a former low-level FBI agent who rises through the ranks to undertake high-stakes counterintelligence missions within the covert Night Action unit.

Series creator and showrunner Shawn Ryan stated that the decision to end the show was deliberate, with a focus on delivering a satisfying conclusion. “Ever since the initial success of ‘The Night Agent’, I’ve been obsessed with eventually delivering a proper and thrilling conclusion to the show and to Peter Sutherland’s journey,” he said. He added that the team is working diligently to craft a final season that audiences “will never forget”.

Since its debut, the series has remained a strong performer for Netflix. Its third season, which premiered in February, spent four weeks on the platform’s global top 10 chart and also featured prominently in U.S. streaming rankings.

However, earlier seasons achieved even greater success, with the first season maintaining a lengthy run on global charts and the second season also delivering solid viewership figures.

The final season is expected to bring the story to a definitive close for its worldwide fan base.
