My dear readers I tell you, it’s not every goods you price. Sometimes depending on the context, you just have to pay for the item without haggling. Which brings me to the main point of this story, as we were leaving the market, some men at the gate who drove taxis were calling out to people. One of them called out to us to take his taxi, but we shook our heads as I had come with my car. “There is hunger in the land,” the man slowly said in a solemn and scary tone. I left without a second thought to it. It was while in the car driving away did I begin to believe I fully understood what his words meant.
