Ghana is not just a country located close to Nigeria, it is actually and will forever be a home to Nigerians, private, corporate and business-wise.
Pardon the rivalry shared between the two countries on a number of fronts, there are a lot of things that bound the two nations together, including entertainment, food and brotherliness.
This was explicitly in display when Creator and Operations Manager of TikTok Nigeria, Adedoyin Ayomide Samuel, better known as Ayrubber, recently visited the beautiful West African country.
TikTok, a short-form video hosting service owned by Chinese company ByteDance, has gained wide acceptance among Nigerians, particularly entertainers and celebrities, who use the platform to host a variety of videos from genres-like pranks, stunts, jokes, dance, etc.
Since the service became available to users outside mainland China and the merger with social media company, Musical.ly in 2018, to make it available for worldwide access, the platform has served as the launch pad for many up-and-coming comedians, particularly online comic acts in Nigeria.
Ayrubber’s visit to Ghana was remarkable and characterised with specular hosting and lots of “Akwaaba” moments. They ensured he became a “Charle” and was even dressed up as a traditional chief.
Ayrubber is a renowned Nigerian media personality back home in the country’s commercial centre, Lagos. Therefore, it was a suitable event, in which personality meets perfect reception.
Ayrubber was treated to the best of hospitality, ranging from beach hangout with nice drinks, hangout with celebrities and presented with a beautiful cake at an event organised to receive him.
Amazed by the welcoming he was accorded, Ayrubber shared it all with his fans on Instagram. He wrote: “I want to say a big thank you to #Teamsam Ghana Tikok Creators for the massive love.
“I never expected this. @portiawekia dresses me up as a king. @wesleykessegh and the test of the #Teamsam. Creators surprised me with loads of Cedis, a cake and massive love! They even brought trumpet. You guys are the best. Once again ‘Medaase.”
