The Tinubu–Ambode Support Group continued statewide engagement on Thursday, storming the Shomolu-Bariga Federal Constituency of Lagos State for an intensive permanent voter card collection sensitisation and the All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration campaign to strengthen civic participation and party structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The exercise forms part of the group’s ongoing efforts to mobilise residents across Nigeria, encouraging them to actively participate in the democratic process by registering, updating their voter information, and obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
During the event, the National Director General of the group, Hon. Seyi Bamigbade, highlighted the tireless efforts of their principal, former Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, to secure millions of votes for President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the general election.
According to him, Ambode’s renewed political involvement is geared toward supporting democratic growth in Lagos state and Nigeria as a whole.
Bamigbade added that his continuous engagement is also aligned with broader efforts within the party ahead of the election cycle.
Hon. Rotimi Olowo, who addressed residents at the gathering, emphasised the importance of civic responsibility.
He urged the public to take advantage of initiatives such as the Tinubu-Ambo Street Captains to complete their APC e-registration and ensure they are properly documented within the All Progressives Congress database.
He further reminded citizens that the Permanent Voter Card remains a vital civic instrument, noting that “the PVC is our right as citizens, and every vote must count.”
The sensitisation outreach in Shomolu-Bariga marked another step in the group’s statewide mobilisation efforts as political activities gradually intensified in Nigeria.
