President Bola Tinubu has celebrated the 70th birthday of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.
In a statement released by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, on Tuesday, the President praised the SGF for his unwavering commitment and continual dedication to overseeing government affairs.
He noted Akume’s extensive leadership background as a governor, minister, senator, and esteemed public servant, stressing how he applies this wealth of experience in his current role.
President Tinubu lauded Senator Akume, praising his consistent embodiment of temperance, affability, harmony, and stability.
He acknowledged Akume’s role in effectively coordinating government activities and bridging the gap between policy formulation and implementation, remaining accessible, focused, and reliable in these duties.
“George Akume is one of the most reliable citizens this country can boast of. The people of Benue have subscribed to his sterling leadership principles and leveraged his remarkable talent for so many years because of what he has always stood for. He will be with you on the best of days, and even most reliably, on the worst of days. The country has been blessed with the dedication and sure-handedness of Senator Akume,” the President said.
Extending wishes for good health and vigour to the SGF, the President encouraged Senator Akume to persist in his dedicated service to the nation.
