President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has rescheduled the commencement of his planned three-nation trip to Sunday, May 3, 2026, instead of Saturday as earlier announced.
The update was disclosed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, via his X handle.
No reason was given for the change in departure date.
President Tinubu is expected to visit France, Kenya and Rwanda during the trip.
His itinerary includes participation in the Africa-France Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, scheduled to hold from May 11 to May 12, as well as attendance at the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali, Rwanda, slated for May 14 to May 15.
The President is also expected to hold meetings with global and African business leaders during the engagements.
He will be accompanied by some ministers and senior aides and is expected to return to Nigeria after the Rwanda leg of the trip.
