A group, Niger Delta Frontier Movement for Accountability and Justice has expressed apprehensions regarding perceived power shifts and political dynamics in the Niger Delta area.
It appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene, ensuring that the aspirations of the Niger Delta populace are upheld amidst political maneuvers.

In a statement released by Comrade Narebor Ebikonbowei in Abuja, the group also addressed concerns regarding Chief Dennis Burutu Otuaro’s appointment as the administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

While expressing reservations about Otuaro’s elevation, the group cited worries over his affiliations with individuals perceived to have vested interests.

The group suggested a possible connection between Otuaro’s appointment and broader political strategies aimed at consolidating power and sidelining competition within the region.

It emphasised the importance of understanding the motives behind such decisions and called for President Bola Tinubu’s intervention to address the grievances of the Ijaw community.

“The Niger Delta Frontier Movement for Accountability and Justice is particularly focused on issues related to transparency, accountability, and the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Ijaw people,” the statement remarked.
