President Bola Tinubu and First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, have celebrated the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on his 84th birthday, describing him as one of Nigeria’s greatest gifts and a spiritual leader whose life has impacted generations.
In a joint State House press statement issued yesterday to mark his birthday on March 2, 2026, the President and First Lady praised Adeboye’s humility, wisdom and enduring leadership, noting that his contributions extend beyond the pulpit to philanthropy, healthcare, education and economic empowerment.
They described the cleric as a “spiritual fortress,” commending his unceasing prayers for Nigeria and his commitment to the nation’s progress.
“We celebrate the grace of stewardship and leadership upon the life of Pastor Adeboye, fondly called Daddy G.O., as he marks his 84th birthday,” the statement said.
President Tinubu and the First Lady congratulated Pastor Adeboye and his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, as well as members of the RCCG and the Body of Christ, expressing gratitude to God for his exceptional life of impact.
They also acknowledged his patriotic zeal, manifest determination, and dedication to Nigeria’s progress, noting that his teachings over the past five decades have continued to shape and transform lives across generations.
“As Daddy G.O. celebrates this special day, we pray that God Almighty continues to bless him with good health and strength as he continues his good work in the Lord’s vineyard,” the statement added.
