In a major international event set to spotlight the achievements of the current Nigerian administration, several key ministers and top officials will converge in London on June 27, 2025, for the official launch of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Midterm Legacy Project Review, Compendium, and Website.
The gathering will also serve as a high-profile international press conference aimed at sharing Nigeria’s governance successes with the global community.
Slated to speak at the event are prominent figures such as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; Minister of Works, Dave Umahi; Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; and Minister of Finance, Wale Edun. Also listed are heads of critical government agencies including the Executive Chairman of FIRS, Zacheous Adedeji; NUPRC Chief Executive, Gbenga Komolafe; and Managing Director of FMBN, Usman Osidi. They will be joined by other MDA leaders in presenting sectoral progress reports on infrastructure, economic growth, digital innovation, and national security.
The international forum, which will take place at the Millennium Hotel and Conference Centre, Gloucester, London, is being organized by the Tinubu Consolidation Mandate in partnership with the United Kingdom chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the organisers, the event is designed to “tell the Nigerian story right”—by providing verifiable, data-backed updates on developmental strides made since the Tinubu administration assumed office.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, High Chief Bode Adeyemi, President of the Tinubu Consolidation Mandate and Project Internal Coordinator, described the midterm compendium and digital platform as “a chronicle of transformational impact and leadership in action.”
He stated: “Despite global economic turbulence and local political distractions, the Tinubu administration has recorded monumental gains across critical sectors. This compendium and website are our way of showing the world that Nigeria is working—and it is working under President Bola Tinubu.”
Adeyemi commended ministers and agency heads for “unmatched dedication” and highlighted key projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, and the successful launch of both public and private refinery operations as standout milestones. He also emphasized reforms such as the removal of petroleum subsidies, which has significantly increased federal allocations to states, and renewed efforts toward local government autonomy.
In a related development, APC UK Chairman, Hon. Tunde Doherty, during a meeting with Ms. Wendy, Head of Political Affairs at the British High Commission in Nigeria, described the initiative as “a strategic narrative reset.”
“For too long, detractors have painted Nigeria in a negative light. This event will shift global focus to the facts—progress in infrastructure, economic recovery, rule of law, and more. We’re proud to showcase a government that is walking the talk,” Doherty said.
Other distinguished speakers expected include Ministers of Health, Prof. Ali Pate; Aviation, Festus Keyamo; Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani; and Justice, Lateef Fagbemi. Heads of parastatals such as the CBN Governor, Dr. Olayemi Cardoso; FAAN’s Olubunmi Kuku; BoI’s Olusi; EFCC’s Olanipekun; and military chiefs are also listed among presenters.
The Tinubu Midterm Legacy Review event promises to be a defining moment for Nigeria’s image on the world stage—offering a transparent, evidence-driven account of governance achievements, challenges overcome, and visions for the future.
