Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement in principle with Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, according to Voetbal International (via Metro),as the club continues its major summer overhaul.

The 27-year-old Netherlands international has been a primary target for Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi.

While Liverpool are demanding a fee in excess of £60 million, any sale is contingent on the Reds securing a replacement . Liverpool are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain for Bradley Barcola but are unwilling to meet the French club’s €150 million (£128m) valuation.

In a separate development, Tottenham have submitted an £85 million bid to Manchester City for Brazilian winger Savinho.

The 22-year-old, who missed training on Thursday due to illness, has already agreed personal terms with Spurs.
