Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has expressed deep sorrow over the ongoing killings and abductions in Oyo State and other parts of Nigeria.

The actress, who has strong personal and cultural ties to Oyo State, described the crisis as deeply personal, saying it is heartbreaking to witness innocent lives lost, families devastated, children living in fear, and entire communities traumatised by relentless violence.

She extended her condolences to the families of victims, particularly parents whose children were abducted, and those affected by the recent attacks in Oriire Local Government Area and surrounding communities.

While commending the efforts of security agencies and the Oyo State Government, Toyin called for more urgent and decisive action to secure the release of those still in captivity and prevent future attacks. She pointedly asked what concrete steps the state government is taking to stop the violence from recurring.

The actress urged Nigerians to stand together, resist the normalisation of violence, and continue to speak up and support one another while praying for comfort for grieving families, healing for the nation, and protection for every innocent life.
