Importers and businesses in Abuja and Northern Nigeria are set to benefit from lower logistics costs, reduced cargo delays and more efficient supply chains following the commissioning of a new customs-controlled bonded warehouse in Kuje, Abuja.
The privately owned facility, operated by TRÏNŪ Bonded Warehouse, a subsidiary of Sirlyon Limited, is expected to ease the pressure on importers by allowing cargo to be moved under Customs bond from the seaports to Abuja, where it can be stored, processed and cleared closer to its final market.

With capacity for about 700 containers, the facility could help reduce the cost and time associated with transporting goods repeatedly between the ports and businesses in the nation’s capital and the wider Northern market, while improving access to customs and cargo-handling services.
The development adds to Nigeria’s growing inland logistics infrastructure and comes amid Federal Government efforts to modernise customs operations, streamline cargo clearance and make the movement of goods across the country more efficient.
