Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze has expressed his keen interest in a potential transfer to Arsenal this summer. Over the weekend, representatives from the Gunners engaged in discussions with Eze’s camp, exploring the nuances of a possible deal.

The 26-year-old midfielder is currently bound by a £68 million release clause. However, sources suggest that a compromise could be reached, with negotiations potentially settling around the £60 million mark.

Renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano took to social media platform X on Wednesday to provide insights into the situation, stating: “After direct contact revealed on Monday, Eberechi Eze has opened doors for Arsenal to move in a clear way.

He’s open to joining the Arsenal project and is attracted by this opportunity for his future. Arsenal are informed on release clause details and more.”

Eze’s journey to this point is a remarkable one; having been released from Arsenal’s academy at the age of 13, he has since developed into a key player and has made a name for himself in the Premier League with Crystal Palace. Speculation surrounding his transfer to Arsenal is expected to continue as both clubs remain in discussions.
