Dutch travel creator Traveltomtom is once again shining a global spotlight on Nigeria, this time by taking his followers inside the luxurious Presidential Villa at the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort in Ekiti State.
Known for documenting destinations around the world, the travel influencer recently captured the attention of Nigerians after discovering the country’s iconic sachet water, popularly known as “pure water.” His latest adventure showcases a different side of Nigeria, one defined by luxury, serenity and breathtaking natural scenery.
Sharing a video of the exclusive villa, he revealed that the accommodation costs almost ₦2.5 million per night and described it as more of a private mansion than a hotel suite.
According to him, the experience begins with a ride in a luxury golf cart before guests arrive at the expansive villa, which features multiple living rooms, spacious bedrooms, oversized bathrooms, balconies overlooking the Ekiti hills and carefully curated artworks throughout the property.
The content creator also highlighted the villa’s outdoor lounges, large dining area and high-speed Starlink internet, noting that the property offers both comfort and seclusion for guests seeking an upscale escape.
However, he said the greatest luxury wasn’t the lavish interiors but the tranquillity of the surroundings.
“Listening to nothing but birds singing while enjoying a morning coffee overlooking the mountains is something money can’t easily buy,” he remarked.
The video has drawn admiration from social media users, with many praising the resort’s world-class facilities while expressing surprise that such an exclusive destination exists in Nigeria.
Others welcomed the continued attention TomTom has been giving the country, saying his content is helping to showcase Nigeria beyond the stereotypes by highlighting its tourism, hospitality and unique cultural experiences.
From discovering everyday Nigerian life through a sachet of “pure water” to exploring one of the country’s most luxurious resorts, Traveltomtom continues to present a side of Nigeria that many international audiences are only just beginning to see.
