Nigerian politician and music executive Ubi Franklin has taken a swipe at controversial singer Portable following his defeat in a celebrity boxing match against skitmaker Carter Efe.
The bout, which was held in Lagos, saw Carter Efe emerge victorious and clinch the celebrity boxing title. He was subsequently rewarded with a reported N50 million cash prize from businessman Emeka Okonkwo, along with other perks, including a German visa.
Reacting to the outcome, Franklin took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to share a clip from the match, accompanied by laughing emojis—an apparent jab at Portable’s loss.
In response, Portable alleged foul play, claiming his opponent used his reach advantage to hold his neck during the fight. The singer demanded N200 million as compensation, adding that his wife was in the labour room while he was in the ring.
The clash and its aftermath have continued to generate buzz on social media, with fans weighing in on the drama surrounding the high-profile bout.
