Music executive and talent manager Ubi Franklin has issued a stern warning to social media users who created a group chat specifically to troll and cyberbully Chioma Adeleke, the wife of Afrobeat superstar Davido.
Ubi, who has long managed Chioma’s brand, expressed his disgust over the discovery of a coordinated group where members allegedly share malicious content and insults directed at the mother of two.
Taking to social media to voice his anger, Ubi stated that he is prepared to involve the authorities to track down and arrest those behind the group. He described the actions as “pure evil” and noted that the continuous bullying of the Adeleke family has crossed the line.
“I have seen the group chat where people have gathered just to hate on Chioma. We are coming for every one of you. You cannot hide behind your phones anymore,” he warned.
The talent manager emphasised that while public figures are open to criticism, creating a dedicated platform for harassment is a criminal offence under cyberbullying laws. He vowed that “the authorities will soon pay visits” to the masterminds of the group chat to serve as a lesson to others.
