Christantus Uche, the Super Eagles midfielder, has been selected by supporters as the winner of the 2025/26 UEFA Europa Conference League Fans’ Goal of the Season award.
The award-winning moment came in December 2025, when Uche scored a remarkable equalizer in Crystal Palace’s 2-2 draw against Finland’s KuPS Kuopio.
Receiving the ball on the edge of the area, the Nigerian international sidestepped his marker with a slick piece of skill before executing a perfect trivela finish—using the outside of his right foot to bend the ball away from the goalkeeper and into the net.
The goal combined close control, audacity, and pinpoint accuracy.
Uche’s wonder strike was one of two he scored during Palace’s overall campaign in the tournament. He finished ahead of four other impressive goals in the public vote:
Uche, 23, arrived at Crystal Palace on a season-long loan from Getafe last summer.
Despite his early heroics, he was left out of Palace’s Conference League squad for the latter stages and played no part in the competition after December.
Domestically, he featured in 14 Premier League matches for the Eagles, failing to score or provide an assist.
