UEFA Postpones Decision On Finalissima’s Venue Amid Qatar Concerns

UEFA has announced that a decision regarding the venue for the highly anticipated Finalissima between Spain and Argentina will be delayed until the end of next week, amid growing uncertainty over Qatar’s ability to host the match.

Originally scheduled for March 27 at Lusail Stadium in Doha, concerns arose after the Qatar Football Association suspended tournaments indefinitely due to regional tensions.

Despite Qatar’s significant investments to secure the event, discussions are ongoing regarding potential alternative locations.

Sources indicate that London is a frontrunner, although cities like Rome and Milan are also under consideration.

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) is keen to clarify the situation, especially with the crucial international break approaching. Spain is eager to face Argentina, but they are also exploring other opponents should the Finalissima not proceed.
