Nwoke spoke to LEADERSHIP, yesterday, following the demise of the president and founder of Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association which was announced last week.

He described the death of the international gospel preacher, who devoted over fifty of his 80 years to serve God as a huge loss in God’s vineyard in particular and humanity at large.

The member for Ohafia South constituency recalled how he at a very tender age started hearing about how powerful his ministry was and the miracles God used him to perform.

He urged both old and upcoming ministers of the gospel to imbibe his virtues, which he argued were innumerable, to consolidate on his vision and achievements.

“As his representative, I know from a vantage point his love for the people, the constituency, and how he always had solutions for thorny issues and situations.”

The lawmaker, who urged his family not to mourn his death as people without hope, prayed to God to grant the late reverend a befitting rest in His kingdom.

He added: “They should be consoled and glad that the Lord’s general pursued, lived, and accomplished his childhood dream to the satisfaction of his heart.”
