UniAbuja SUG President Launches Foundation To Empower Students

The Student Union Government (SUG), president of the University of Abuja, Comrade Emmanuel Ayantayo, has unveiled a foundation to enable less privileged students in the tertiary institution to enjoy the dividends of quality education.

With the goal to provide financial resources, scholarships, grants, and other forms of assistance to enhance the quality of education and promote learning opportunities, the foundation named: ‘Emmanuel Ayantayo Foundation’ was launched to improve the life and knowledge base of students.

In a statement made available to newsmen yesterday signed by founder, Emmanuel Ayantayo in Abuja, it said that the foundation which was launched on the 27th of July 2023, is an accountability and accessibility platform that is set to liaise with other organisation, agencies of government, and individuals, to assist less privileged students with the payment of tuition fees from second year to final year while guaranteeing standard at all level of service delivery.

He said, “The EA Foundation was birthed out of the penchant to improve knowledge while assisting students economically and socially into higher levels.

“Our corporate social responsibility is hinged on four key words “HASG-HELP Student Graduate, preserve and protect the environment and propagate the significance of sustainable development goals for balance and national development.”

The president reiterated the need to safeguard rights and provide for the well-being of students in need whilst mentoring and providing guidance to the teeming Nigerian youths.

He added that the foundation will also facilitate community engagement, foster innovation in teaching methods, and help bridge funding gaps in the institution.
