Director of Phill Innovative Services, Abigail Sunday Avwioro, proudly announces the Star Talent Competition, a groundbreaking initiative designed to showcase and celebrate the creativity of secondary school students across Rivers State. This innovative competition, featuring drama, poetry, and public speaking categories, aims to uncover hidden talents while fostering a deeper appreciation for the performing arts.

The Star Talent Competition offers numerous benefits to Rivers State and its residents:

1.⁠ ⁠Cultivating Artistic Skills: By engaging students in drama, poetry, and public speaking, the competition provides a platform to develop their artistic abilities and express themselves creatively.

2.⁠ ⁠Enhancing Educational Opportunities: Participation in such events encourages academic growth and equips students with essential communication skills to benefit their educational journey and future careers.

3.⁠ ⁠Strengthening Community Bonds: The competition brings together schools, families, and local organisations, fostering a strong sense of community and shared purpose.

4.⁠ ⁠Promoting Cultural Awareness: The event enhances cultural appreciation and promotes a vibrant local arts scene by celebrating diverse forms of expression.

5. Cash Prizes: The Star Talent Competition 2024 will award 200k for the best drama presentation, 100k for the best poetry presentation, 100k for the best public speaking presentation, and 100k for consolation prizes. The school teachers will also be presented with awards.

The Star Talent Competition is made possible through the collaboration of the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Express, the Rotary Club of Greater Port Harcourt, and the Rotary Club of Rumuogba Golden.
