The Agbamu community in Irepodun local government area of Kwara State, have commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over the elevation of the town’s monarch, Oba Olushola Fabiyi to a third class chief.
The secretary of the Arigbamu – in- Council, High Chief Bolare Adedoyin and the national president of Agbamu Community Development Association (ACDA),Engr. Jide Olabamiji made the commendation in separate statements.
Adedoyin, who described the elevation as a testament of the governor’s respect for the natural rulers in the state, said, the entire people of the town would remain grateful to the governor.
“The entire Agbamu community at home and in diaspora expressed our heartfelt appreciations to the chairman of the Nigeria Governor’s Forum(NGF) and the executive governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for elevating our royal father, the Arigbamu of Agbamu, Oba Olushola Dare Fabiyi to a 3rd class status.
“This elevation is a testament of the governor’s respect for the natural rulers in the state. This kind gesture, will also go a long way to strengthening the traditional institutions in the state.
” We commended the chairman of Irepodun Traditional Council and Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Alebiosu for his pivotal role in ensuring seamless elevation of Arigbamu of Agbamu, Oba Olushola Dare Fabiyi to a 3rd class status.”.
The national president of ACDA, Engr. Jide Olabamiji noted that the upgraded of the Arigbamu stool would ursher in new chapter of development in the town.
