Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Monday February 9, 2026, attended the opening ceremony of the second edition of the National Economic Council (NEC) Conference held at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.
The conference, which brought together governors, key federal government officials, and other critical stakeholders, focused on strategies aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s economic stability and fostering sustainable development across the country.
Governor Fintiri joined his counterparts from various states to deliberate on pressing national economic issues, including fiscal reforms, revenue generation, infrastructure development, and measures to cushion the effects of economic challenges on citizens.
The NEC Conference serves as a platform for collaboration between the federal and state governments, providing opportunities for peer review, policy alignment, and the sharing of innovative solutions to common economic concerns.
The second edition of the conference is expected to produce actionable resolutions that will guide economic planning and implementation at both national and sub-national levels.
