Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma has assured his teeming supporters that more appointments and swearing-in will be announced as he swore in the newly appointed commissioners and special advisers into office.
The swearing-in ceremony which took place at the new state executive council chambers, Imo State Government House, Owerri saw the new members of the state executive and their family members in attendance.
While swearing-in the new appointees and commissioners, the governor remarked that the process of appointments and swearing-in will still be ongoing to accommodate more people.
The governor while congratulating the new appointees informed them that he will not entertain any form of excuses for performance even as he warned that the government will not tolerate any form of corruption by any of the new appointees.
He also informed them that he has set up a new office domiciled in his office to checkmate their performance.
“More appointment and more swearing-in will still be ongoing, more appointees will be made and more swearing-in will still be done,” the governor said.
The governor announced portfolios for the newly sworn-in commissioners as Hon. Ralph Nwosu retained his former portfolio as the honourable commissioner for works, while Hon. Declan Emelumba retained his former portfolio as honorable commissioner for information, Hon. Ruby Emele assigned to the ministry of local government an affairs and Hon. Chimezie Amadi retained his former portfolio as honorable commissioner for digital economy.
The new commissioners who were newly appointed into the state executive council like Hon. Bede Eke was assigned the commissioner for housing, Hon. Modestus Osakwe assigned to ministry of homeland security, Hon. Ikenga Elezieanya was assigned to the ministry of science/technology while Hon. Ifeanyi Oruh was assigned to the ministry of rural development and empowerments.
