The 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) is set to kick off today, in Morocco, and Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala is gunning for her 10th title with the Nigerian national team.
Oshoala, widely regarded as one of the greatest African female footballers of all time, has been a driving force behind the Super Falcons’ success over the years.
Speaking to NFF TV, Oshoala said, “For me personally, I want to score goals, it’s what I love to do,” Oshoala told the Super Falcons media.
“It’s been a while I’ve played with the national team because there’s so many things going on in my personal life. But wherever I’m here, on the pitch, and help my teammates gain the three points in each game we play.”
The Super Falcons will open their WAFCON 2024 finals campaign against Tunisia in Casablanca on Sunday.
The tournament will kick off on Saturday, with hosts Morocco and Zambia doing battle in Rabat.
The WAFCON 2024 finals will run from Saturday, July 5 to Saturday, July 26.
The tournament promises to be an exciting competition, with top African teams vying for the coveted title.
