Waterlight Save Initiative, an international non-governmental organization committed to strengthening communities and advancing sustainable development, made a significant and impactful contribution at the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

The organization’s delegation, led by its Founder and President, Prince Ero Ibhafidon, participated in a wide range of high-level dialogues, international policy discussions, strategic networking engagements, and global side events focused on advancing gender equality and strengthening the rights, opportunities, and protection of women and girls worldwide.

The participation of Waterlight Save Initiative at CSW70 reflects the organization’s growing global leadership and its commitment to contributing meaningful solutions to some of the most pressing challenges affecting women and girls across Africa and the world.

Throughout the conference, the Waterlight Save Initiative team actively engaged with government leaders, civil society organizations, international development institutions, and global partners to discuss innovative pathways for accelerating progress toward gender equality and sustainable development.

Key areas of contribution by the organization during the global gathering included: “Women’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurship, Education and leadership development for girls, Justice and protection for women in conflict-affected regions, Access to healthcare, hygiene, and sanitation services, Community resilience and poverty alleviation, Strengthening global partnerships to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.”

The delegation also participated in several high-impact international forums and side events where critical issues affecting women globally were discussed, including justice for women in conflict zones, access to opportunities for young women, and the role of community-based organizations in advancing sustainable solutions.

During the summit, the delegation had the opportunity to engage with global stakeholders and leaders working to shape the future of gender equality.

These engagements allowed Waterlight Save Initiative to share insights from its development programs, which have already reached millions of children and young people across Africa and beyond.

In his remarks during the sessions, Prince Ero Ibhafidon emphasized the importance of collaboration and action-driven partnerships:

“Empowering women and girls is not only a moral responsibility but also a global development priority. At Waterlight Save Initiative, we believe that when women are empowered, communities thrive and nations prosper. Our participation at CSW70 reinforces our commitment to building partnerships that translate global dialogue into real impact on the ground.”

Waterlight Save Initiative also highlighted its integrated development framework, known as the iHEAL model, which focuses on Innovation, Healthcare, Education, Agriculture, and Living Standards as key drivers for long-term social transformation and inclusive development.

The organization’s presence at CSW70 further strengthened its international partnerships and reinforced its role as an active contributor to global efforts aimed at achieving gender equality and sustainable development by 2030.

As the global community continues to work toward inclusive and equitable societies, Waterlight Save Initiative reaffirmed its commitment to implementing impactful programs that empower women, support youth, improve access to essential services, and create sustainable opportunities for vulnerable communities.
