Mali returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Comoros on 4 September after a two-match winless streak. The Eagles currently sit third in Group I with 12 points from seven matches and must win their final three games to have a shot at a top-two finish.
Ghana coach Otto Addo commented on their recent performance: “I can’t say we played excellently or well because it was a draw against Chad. The result is everything… We had several corners and attempts on goal, which we must convert. We have to improve, especially on our execution.”
