Wema Bank Backs SheCan Conference To Boost Women’s Economic Empowerment

Wema Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing women’s economic empowerment through the sponsorship of the ‘SheCan Do More’ Conference 2026, reinforcing its efforts to connect more women with opportunities for growth, financial inclusion and long-term success.

Through its women-focused proposition, SARA by Wema, the Bank is partnering with SheCan Nigeria to deliver a transformative experience for women entrepreneurs, professionals, business owners and emerging leaders at the conference, scheduled to hold on June 19, 2026, at the Balmoral Convention Center, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The partnership reflects Wema Bank’s belief that empowering women goes beyond providing financial solutions. “It means creating access to knowledge, mentorship, strategic networks and opportunities that help women build thriving businesses, advance their careers and achieve lasting success,” the lender said.

As part of the conference experience, Wema Bank has lined up exclusive rewards for attendees. The first two women who open a Wema or SARA account at the venue, fund it with between ₦50,000 and ₦100,000, will receive an instant Wema or SARA debit card, and spend a minimum of ₦50,000 at the venue will each receive ₦1 million.

Additionally, the first three women who fund their accounts with at least ₦5,000, will receive an instant Wema or SARA debit card and spend a minimum of ₦10,000 at the venue will each receive a ₦150,000 self-care package.

Attendees will also enjoy free health screening upon joining the SARA Community, discounted interest rates and a complimentary health plan when they sign up for the SARA Business Loan, alongside instant cash prizes, branded gift items and exciting spin-the-wheel activities.
