Senator Shehu Sani has said President Bola Tinubu should probe the President  Muhammadu Buhari’s administration and recover all the looted funds under that government.

Sani, who stated this on his twitter handle yesterday, said if the president fails to probe the administration of his predecessor, those with the looted funds will come after the incumbent president sooner or later.

Recall that Tinubu has suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, and the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abdulrasheed Bawa.

Shortly after their suspension, the Department of State Services (DSS) detained them for questioning over their tenures in office.

However, there have been calls by some Nigerians for the question to be expanded to other key members of the former administration over how they handled affairs of state.

But reacting yesterday Sani said Tinubu should overlook Buhari but probe the administration to recover looted funds.

“Tinubu should ignore Buhari and go ahead and probe the past Government and recover looted funds. If President Tinubu fails to go after looted funds, looted funds will come after him sooner or later,” Sani said.
