Wikki Tourists FC have announced the tragic death of their defender, Kabiru Mohammed, who lost his life in a fatal car accident on the Zaria–Gusau road.
The club confirmed the incident in a statement shared on its official Facebook page, expressing deep sorrow over the loss.
Mohammed had joined Wikki Tourists from Lobi Stars FC at the start of the ongoing 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season and quickly became a vital part of the team’s backline. The club described him as a player known for his dedication, discipline, and love for the game.
His final match for the club came during the President’s Federation Cup tie against Jigawa Golden Stars Junior Team, held at Nasara Stadium, Kofar Doka, Zaria, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
“The Management, Technical Crew, Players, and supporters of Wikki Tourists FC extend heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the entire football community over this painful loss,” the statement read.
The club added that Mohammed’s contributions and commitment to the team would never be forgotten.
