With 31 APC Govs, Tinubu’s Victory Is Sure, Says Governor Okpebholo

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State on Wednesday said that with 31 All Progressives Congress (APC) governors across the federation, the victory of President Bola Tinubu is already guaranteed come 2027.

Addressing a massive rally in Benin City, Okpebholo framed Edo’s political realignments as part of a broader national momentum, declaring that the APC’s strength at the state level reflects deep-rooted public confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

With defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party, and African Democratic Congress swelling the APC’s ranks, the governor said the ruling party’s control of 31 states provides a formidable political structure ahead of the next general elections.

He expressed confidence that Edo would deliver 2.5 million votes for Tinubu, insisting that the President “should relax and focus on commissioning projects rather than campaigning.”

Okpebholo argued that the party’s widespread gubernatorial control is both a sign of national acceptance and a strategic advantage.

“With 31 governors under the APC, we are not just preparing for 2027; we are consolidating Nigeria. Edo is secure for the APC.

The President should come to commission projects, not to campaign.”

“The strength of our party across 31 states shows that Nigerians believe in our direction and leadership. 2027 and 2.5 million votes are sure for President Tinubu.”

He maintained that Edo’s development strides are directly linked to federal support, noting that the administration’s achievements will speak louder than campaign rhetoric.

“All we do in Edo State is practical governance, and the people can see development. Every kobo spent in Edo State is gotten from President Tinubu,” he stated.
