Nigerian comedian and actor, Woli Arole, has advised people to protect their reputation both online and offline. He warned that false stories and unchecked claims can harm a person’s image.

In a post on Instagram, Arole urged people not to allow others to create a wrong impression of them among friends, colleagues or business associates.

He said words are powerful and can shape public perception. He also cautioned against staying silent when people spread negative narratives about them.

He wrote:

“Please, I want to say this, don’t allow people to have a wrong impression about you online and offline. Stand tall to defend yourself, either amongst your friends or at your workplace. Narrative is very powerful. Don’t let people speak ill of you to your face. Words are powerful”.

Woli Arole said he is intentional about speaking positively about himself. He added that he does not accept claims he believes are untrue.

According to him, he responds whenever he faces criticism. He cited being labelled a false prophet as one example.

Arole said he does not allow negative comments about himself or the ministry he believes God entrusted to him.

He added that defending himself publicly is necessary to protect his work and reputation.

He added, “This is why I am very VOCAL about myself! I speak well of myself! You can’t come and ruin what I am building! You can’t speak ill of me or lie against me! I don’t tolerate the wrong narrative about ME.

“Some people will say, ‘I think Arole is a false prophet”; I don’t laugh such a statement away. I reply boldly, “I am not a False Prophet; God is using me for mighty signs and wonders”. I don’t allow negative words around me or the ministry the Lord has placed in my hands!”
