Woman Arrested Over Scalding Pregnant Sister-in-law With Hot Water

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a woman for allegedly scalding her pregnant sister-in-law with hot water while she was in labour following a heated disagreement.

The suspect, 20-year-old Jamila Ishiaku, admitted to the act, stating she acted out of anger after an argument.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, January 27, 2025, at Dubeli in the Yola North local government area.

Confirming the arrest, the police public relations officer, Nguroje, assured that the suspect would face the full wrath of the law.
