Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, has urged Nigerians to prioritise the protection and empowerment of children as the world marks World Children’s Day 2025.

In her message titled “Listen to Children: My Day, My Rights,” the First Lady joined the global community in celebrating the day, noting that the theme developed by UNICEF highlights the need to give children genuine platforms to express their thoughts, experiences, and aspirations.

Senator Tinubu described respect for children’s rights and their protection as essential to building a fair and compassionate society. She said children are not only the leaders of tomorrow but also active participants in shaping today’s world.

“When we listen to their voices, we gain insight into how best to create a safer, more inclusive, and nurturing society,” she said.
