With a population exceeding 200 million in Nigeria, yet the world of auto racing remains largely unexplored. For most Nigerians, the mere mention of racing conjures images of the automobile Safari Rally in East Africa and the Formula 1 circuit in distant lands, reserved for the privileged few.

In a recent interview, Bukky Feyisitan, one of the Founding Partners of XKART Race Promotions, shared his vision with alongside his partner, Adeoye Ojuoko of Work and Play Promotions.

Their mission is to dismantle the perception that auto racing is an elitist pursuit. They believe the thrill of the track should be accessible to all, regardless of age, social status, or background.

“Our journey began in Sagamu, where we launched the X-Kart Race Series. We’re bringing the action to Ilara-Mokin, home to Nigeria’s first Off-Road racing track. This track, purpose-built as the home of the off-track premier racing venue in Nigeria, fits in perfectly with the X-Kart sports racing series. It promises heart-pounding excitement and challenges that will test the mettle of any and all racers,” said Feyisitan.

“The X-Kart series isn’t just about speed, planning, passion, camaraderie, and the sheer joy of racing. As someone immersed in motorsports for over two decades, I can attest to the required planning, teamwork, commitment, pressure, and adrenaline rush as the engine roars and the tires grip the dirt. It’s a feeling that transcends social boundaries and economic disparities,” he added.
