The ancient town witnessed unprecedented human and vehicular movement as supporters lined the major roads from the entrance of Nguru to the palace of the Emir of Nguru, chanting songs and waving party banners in celebration of the aspirant widely seen as a frontline figure in the state’s 2027 political equation.
The rally drew party faithful, traditional title holders, youths, women groups and supporters from across the state, turning the commercial town into a carnival-like atmosphere.
Addressing the mammoth crowd, Wali expressed profound appreciation to Mai Mala Buni, APC stakeholders led by Ibrahim Gaidam and party leaders across the state for endorsing him as the APC consensus governorship aspirant.
He described the endorsement as a great responsibility and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him through inclusive leadership, transparency and commitment to the continued peace, unity and development of Yobe State.
Wali also commended the President of the 9th Senate, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, Alhaji Lawan Kole Geidam, former Inspector-General of Police, Alhaji Alkali Baba (rtd), and Sen. Ibrahim Bomai for supporting the consensus arrangement reached by APC stakeholders in the state.
According to him, the unity demonstrated by party leaders and stakeholders remains critical to sustaining political stability and advancing the socio-economic development of the state.
As part of the visit, the aspirant also paid homage to the Emir of Nguru, Mai Mustapha Ibn Kyari, who thanked Governor Buni and APC stakeholders for endorsing a son of the emirate as the party’s consensus governorship candidate.
The royal father described the endorsement as a reflection of confidence in Wali’s leadership qualities and prayed for peace, unity and continued progress in Yobe State.
