Danchuwa has in an exclusive interview with Channels Television, revealed that maternal and newborn cases represented a substantial portion of the agency’s efforts.
He said, “Maternal and newborn cases accounted for more than half of our 2,300+ emergency responses.
“These timely interventions have saved countless lives and provided vital relief to families statewide,” the ES stated.
He further said the 24/7 service utilizes a fleet of fully equipped ambulances manned by trained medical professionals, ensuring prompt response even in remote areas.

“Residents have praised the service as transformative, particularly for expectant mothers and accident victims who previously faced dangerous delays in receiving medical attention,” Danchua added.
The ES stated that YEMABUS forms part of Governor Mai Mala Buni’s broader agenda to strengthen Yobe State’s healthcare system adding that the administration has invested in upgrading ambulances and training emergency personnel to improve service delivery and efficiency.
As the service marks its growing impact, Danchua reaffirmed YEMABUS’ commitment to expanding coverage across the state.
