‎The Minister of Youth Affairs, Ayo Olawande, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State to participate actively in the party’s forthcoming presidential primary election in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
‎
‎Olawande made the call during a press interview with journalists, where he stressed the need for party faithfuls to remain united and committed to the re-election bid of President Tinubu.
‎
‎The minister said leaders and stakeholders of the party in Ondo State were already mobilising support across the state to ensure victory for the President at the primary and during the general election.
‎
‎According to him, the Tinubu administration has recorded significant achievements in Ondo State through several federal projects and appointments.
‎
‎He listed some of the projects to include the ongoing dualisation of the Akure–Ore Road, the Akure–Ado Ekiti Road project, the establishment of a teaching hospital institution in Akure, as well as federal support for the Federal University of Technology Akure Teaching Hospital.
‎
‎“The achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu speak for themselves, and Ondo State has been a direct beneficiary of his commitment to national development,” Olawande stated.
‎
‎He noted that the projects demonstrate the Federal Government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and healthcare delivery in the state.
‎
‎The minister also described the current level of federal representation enjoyed by the state as unprecedented, noting that the state presently has three serving ministers in the Federal Executive Council alongside ambassadorial appointments given to indigenes of the state.
‎
‎“For the first time in our history, Ondo State has three members in the Federal Executive Council. This is unprecedented. It shows the President’s belief in our capacity and our role in building the Nigeria of our dreams,” he said.
‎
‎Olawande maintained that the appointments and developmental projects reflected the confidence of the Tinubu administration in Ondo State and its contributions to national development.
‎
‎He called on APC members to turn out massively for the presidential primary election, describing the exercise as critical to sustaining the gains of the current administration.
‎
‎“We are ready. Ondo State is ready. We will stand united to ensure that the President returns to office to continue the good work he has started,” the minister added.
