Three unidentified  youths have killed a 30-year-old Point of Sale (PoS) operator,  Aliyu Musa Vatsa, in a suburb of Minna, the state capital called ‘Mandela’.

LEADERSHIP gathered  that the deceased, who was well-known around  Building Market Road in Mandela  was killed in his residence near  the “T Mama” area.

It was learnt that the men numbering three rejected money offered them and rebuffed the pleas by the deceased and his wife;  as they insisted that  ” We are here just to kill you.”

A resident said that his killers first stabbed him in the stomach and other parts of his body severally before shooting him on his chest.

it was learnt that Aliyu and his wife shout for help attracted neighbours,  who were not swift enough  to  apprehend the assailants as they met his unconscious body.

The eyewitness revealed that the neighbours rushed him to Tundun Wada Police Station before he was taken to the Minna General Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

When contacted, the police command spokesperson, Wasiu Abiodun said “report received indicated that there was a suspected culpable homicide around Mandela area of Minna, and Police patrol team attached to Tudun-wada Division moved to the scene, but before getting to the scene, the assailants had escaped”.

“It was discovered that the victim who was identified as one Aliyu Musa, 34years, a POS man, was attacked in his house by two suspects. Based on body examination, it was discovered that he was attacked and shot on the chest, with a machete cut injury on his head,” he added.

He said Exhibits recovered included one iron cutter which was used to gain entrance through the window and a cutlass was also recovered.
