Governor Abba Yusuf has pledged to mobilise strong grassroots support in Kano State for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, declaring that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will secure victory across all elective positions.
The governor made the declaration while addressing a large crowd of supporters in Kano shortly after returning from Abuja, where he attended the APC National Convention and other engagements.
“We will rally solid support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and I am optimistic that APC will, In Sha Allah, win all elective positions in 2027,” Yusuf said.
He noted that collaboration between his administration and the Federal Government was already yielding positive results through infrastructure development and social intervention programmes, assuring that more dividends of democracy would follow.
Yusuf dismissed opposition parties, particularly the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing it as lacking relevance in Kano’s political landscape.
According to him, the ADC is weakened by internal crises and does not enjoy the grassroots support needed to compete in the state.
“The ADC is dead on arrival in Kano. It has no structure, credibility or acceptance among the people,” he said.
The governor expressed confidence that the APC would retain control of Kano State and the presidency in 2027, insisting that no opposition party has the capacity to unseat it.
He also reaffirmed his intention to seek a second term in office under the APC.
“We did one term in the NNPP and left. We will do a second term in the APC. There are two terms in APC, the party of the people,” he stated.
Yusuf urged supporters to remain united and committed ahead of the 2027 elections.
