Country star Zach Bryan found himself at the centre of fan outrage after severe weather forced him to delay and shorten his recent concert on Saturday in Nebraska.

Before the show, Bryan alerted fans on X that the performance would begin later than scheduled due to bad weather, joking, “tour in the spring they said, it’ll be fun they said.”

Venue doors eventually opened four hours later, while the opening act, Kings of Leon, never made it to the stage. As the night unfolded, dangerous lightning strikes continued overhead, forcing Bryan to leave the stage earlier than planned for safety reasons.

The following day, the singer shared the concert setlist on X, apologised to fans, and explained that only the final six songs had been cut from the show.

Still, some concertgoers were far from satisfied. One fan fired back, writing, “I know a lot of this was out of your control, but we got half a show. Very disappointing,” while also calling for partial refunds.

Bryan, however, didn’t hold back.

“Karen ahhhh tweet,” he replied.

That response triggered even more criticism, with another fan writing, “What a scum response to a fan who probably waited all night to see you and the opening artists. I paid over a thousand dollars to see this show and waited in my car for over 4 hours.”

Bryan doubled down with the same comeback: “Karen ahhh tweet.”

Despite the backlash, some supporters defended him, with one fan insisting the storm was beyond his control.
