Zamfara State Ministry of Health is set to update the registration of private health facilities and healthcare providers in the state.
This was contained in a press statement issued in Gusau by the commissioner for Health, Dr Nafisa Muhammad Maradun.
She said the exercise would include private hospitals, clinics, maternity homes, laboratories, pharmacies and other private health facilities operating in the state.
The commissioner said the exercise is to ensure professionalism, quality healthcare service delivery and proper regulation of private medical practice in the state.
The collection of registration forms will take place from 22nd May to 28th May, 2026, while the submission of completed forms is scheduled from 29th May to 11th June, 2026.
The field inspection visits by the task force will begin from 19th June to 9th July, 2026.
The ministry advised all proprietors and operators of private health facilities to cooperate with the task force to avoid sanctions and the continued operation of their facilities.
