To further drive youth participation in the export value chain, Zeenab Foods Ltd is also collaborating with National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) and also used the occasion to enlighten them further on the rudiments of exportation

Speaking at the ceremony in Abuja, Chairman, Zeenab Foods Ltd, Mr. Victor Ayemere, said last year, the Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC) representing the federal government, appointed the company to set up and operate a Nigeria export trade house in China.

“We have done everything possible to make sure we commission it. But because of the COVID situation in China and the travel restrictions that has not been possible.

“But recently, the Chinese government removed the travel restriction and we are now ready to go over there to let them know we are ready to start bringing our export commodities.

“We hope that after today we will continue to send more and more containers to that port in China, to the point that we will be recognised as a major change agents to the trade deficit between China and Nigeria,” he said.

Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer, NEPC, Dr Ezra Yakusak, called on Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), who intend to export to China to contact Zeenab Foods Ltd.

Yakusak, represented by Director, International Export Office, NEPC, Mr Babatunde Faleke, said, “We’re very vigorous about the export campaign because without export it is difficult to survive in our nation. With export the earnings from export that can sustain our Forex.”
