Zik Varsity Gets New Librarian, 6 Directors

The Governing Council of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State has approved the appointment of a new librarian and six directors for the institution.

A list containing the names of the appointees signed by university’s registrar and secretary to the Council, Dr. Chinenye Gloria Okeke; named Prof. Eze Jacintha Ukamaka as the new librarian, Dr Jane Ezeonu (director of Medical Services) and, Engr. Ibe Obinna (director of Works Services).

Other appointees are Akuma Paschal (director of Procurement), Engr. Ezeokafor Lawrence (director of Physical Planning), Mr. Obi Collins (chief safety officer), and, the Correspondent of the Sun Newspaper in Anambra State, Comrade Aloysius Emeka Attah (director, Information and Public Relations).

All the appointments were ratified at the 21st emergency meeting of the council on April 17, 2026, and will run for a single tenure of five years, in accordance with the university regulations.
