Spokesperson of the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Yusif, said the deceased, who suffered from a demonic illness (Aljanna), upon convulsing from the spirits, started running and fell into a well.

“Thereafter, he started calling for help, but no one came to assist him until our men went and rescued him unconscious. He was later confirmed dead and handed over to Inspector Nuhu Danial of Madobi Police Division,” he said.

Similarly, Yusif in a statement said the service under the command of the director, Alh Sani Anas, received another emergency call on Sunday from one Joseph Peter, who reported a well incident at France road in Fagge LGA.

He said the rescue team rescued the 37-year-old woman, Maryam Bita, alive and took her to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital for medical attention.

“Thereafter, with God’s intervention, they successfully rescued her alive and rushed her to the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital for medical attention. She was later handed over to the Police Constable Mu’azu Abdullahi of Sabon Gari Police Division,” he stated.
