2 Brothers Crushed To Death By Vehicle In Ebonyi

Two brothers suspected to returning home from a Cross Over Night Church Service yesterday morning have been crushed to death in Obegu-aba, Ozibo in Ebonyi local government area of Ebonyi State.

The accident involved a speeding Toyota Corolla Vehicle with Ebonyi State Government number plate.

A source told LEADERSHIP Friday on grounds of anonymity that the accident occurred at 7:30am yesterday.

The deceased, the source said, were riding on a motorcycle when the Toyota Corolla vehicle with Ebonyi State government registration number -Ebonyi 241-EBGH, at high speed, crushed them.

The source said that one of the legs of the deceased and one of the hands of the other were severed from their bodies in the tragedy, while their motorcycle was damaged beyond repair.

The driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the scene.

A few minutes later, a team of policemen from the state command came to the scene and evacuated the bodies of the victims.

The policemen took the car to their station.
