The students, Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola, were said to have died on the spot when a Toyota car reportedly crushed their motorcycle.

LEADERSHIP Friday gathered that the quick arrival of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response, Prince Oriade Wellington Adebawo, could not save the victims.

Expressing sorrow over the death of the students, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Council (JCC) Ondo State Axis, consoles the family of the deceased.

The statement, signed by Comrade Oluwarotimi Tobiloba Joshua (Chairman), Comrade Oluwanishola Ajibola (Secretary General), and Comrade Kehinde Blessing (Public Relations Officer), described the students’ deaths as “a heavy blow to the Ondo State student community.”

According to the students, “This loss is a heavy blow to the Ondo State student community. The tragic deaths of Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola remind us of the fragility of life,” the statement said. “These were young individuals with promising futures, and their loss is deeply felt.”
