Action Democratic Party (ADP) candidate in Saturday’s Osun governorship poll, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, has said none of the roads projects initiated by the Aregbesola led government that are yet to be completed will suffer neglect if elected.
Addressing the party’s supporters at a rally held at Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Osogbo, Adeoti said he would also dialogue with the federal government regarding the slow pace of work on Osogbo/Ilobu/Ogbomoso road, Osogbo/Ila Odo road, as well as Osogbo/Ilesa.
Adeoti promised to embark on construction of more roads across the state and ensure that full compensations were paid to those that lost properties to the construction of roads embarked upon by Governor Aregbesola.
As part of measure to boost commerce, Adeoti promised to give the popular Ajegunle Spare Parts Markets face lift, adding that at a meeting held with the traders in the market, vital decisions on how to further expand scope of business in the market have been worked out.
Adeoti further averred that, “Our government will take care of the interests of the non -indigenes in the state. We will make the state comfortable for them to live in. Women will also play prominent roles in our government.
“When I was in APC, we held a meeting that the least paid retiree would collect N10,000, but to my surprise, this was not implemented. If I am elected governor, I will ensure this is implemented.”
Also speaking, his running mate to the ADP governorship candidate, Professor Adeolu Durotoye, berated those campaigning for continuity of the APC government.
