Former Nigerian international, Mikel Obi has tipped the Super Eagles to lift the 2023 African Cup of Nations slated for Ivory Coast.

Recall that Nigeria was drawn against hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau and Equatorial Guinea in Group A of the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The draw was held at the Parc Des Expositions in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire on on Thursday night

While the Super Eagles will face Equatorial Guinea in their opening fixture, Ivory Coast will battle Guinea-Bissau on January 13.

Nigeria last won the tournament in 2013 and will look to win its fourth after recording success at the 1980 and 1994 editions.

However, in a video shared by CAFonline via its Instagram handle, Mikel confidently stated that the Super Eagles will turn out victorious and take the trophy home to Nigeria.
