Ahead of the 2027 general elections, youth leaders in the six states of the South West region have declared their support for President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
They said the region was a no-go area for opposition.
The declaration came on the heels of an endorsement by the Southwest Youth Coalition for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The historic gathering, organised by the Tinubu Ambode Support Group, spearheaded by former governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, served as both a rallying point and a reaffirmation of loyalty to progressive ideals that have long defined the Southwest.
With passion and patriotic zeal, youth leaders across the region’s six states spoke with one voice, declaring unwavering support for Tinubu’s leadership.
The coalition director, Amb. Wale Balogun praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s courage, vision, and enduring commitment to national development, describing him as a unifying force whose policies continue to inspire hope and progress across Nigeria.
He said that under Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria is witnessing bold reforms and strategic repositioning, especially in economic revitalisation, infrastructural development, and youth empowerment.
According to them, the president’s track record as a former Governor of Lagos State remains a shining example of transformational governance—one that has become a nationwide benchmark for excellence.
In the vein, the coalition leaders poured encomium on Akinwunmi Ambode, whose quiet but impactful leadership continues to resonate within the political architecture of Lagos and beyond.
As the driving force behind the Tinubu Ambode Support Group, Ambode was lauded for his foresight, organisational strength, and steadfast loyalty to the progressive family.
They described his role in mobilising grassroots support and fostering unity among stakeholders as both strategic and commendable.
A speaker at the event, Dr Seyi Bamigbade, emphasised that the Southwest remains the stronghold of progressive politics, anchored on a legacy of visionary leadership, inclusive governance, and people-oriented policies.
He warned opposition elements to desist from political distractions in the region, asserting that the people are resolute and unwavering in their support for Tinubu and the ruling party.
“This is not just about politics; it is about continuity, stability, and shared prosperity, one youth leader declared. The Southwest knows its path and remains committed to leadership that delivers,” he said.
